SMALL STEPS
Parenting a baby is a series of small steps one after another.
From the time your child is born until they graduate from high school, you have about 936 weeks. Every week counts, beginning with the first words and interactions you have with them as babies, all the way through the deep conversations and life lessons you will share as you launch them into adulthood. And no parent is designed to do it alone!
In these first 18 months of your child’s life, your baby needs you more than they ever will. But let’s not just survive this phase, let’s make it count and set up rhythms of connection, intentionality, and relationships that will pave the way for the next 18 years and beyond.
This is the perfect time to think and pray about who you want your child to be when they become an adult. It’s also a great time to meet others in the same stage of parenting that you are, and to choose some important people in your child’s life that you’d like to invite in as partners in raising them to know, love, and follow Jesus.
LET’S EMBRACE THE SMALL STEPS!
As a church, we can do this together! Twice each year, we host a 3-session experience for parents and their babies 0-18 months old to build community, find support through our church, and focus on two key questions:
”Who do I pray my child will grow to become?”
“Who should I include in my child’s circle?”
Whether you’ve just welcomed your first baby into your life or a new addition to a family with many children, this is for you! It will be a casual experience for babies and their parents to grow together through exploration of ways our church can partner with you in raising your child, time for connection with other families, and lots of joy! You an expect words of encouragement, playtime with your baby, conversation with other parents, and the unpredictability that comes in a room full of tiny humans.

This experience also serves as one step in the pathway for families who wish to participate in Baby Dedication for their child.

We do ask that each child and at least one parent attend all 3 sessions, as the concepts will build on each other week to week and we value the community that is formed through this shared experience.
